On an Acela train, you’ll find your time is yours and yours alone. To spend how you wish. We called it “usable time.” You can catch up on work on your laptop at a conference table or catch up on a good nap in the Quiet Car. Basically, Acela is the nicest and most convenient way to travel for business.

This simple message delivered powerful results. In May 2004 alone, Acela realized double-digit percentage increases in both ridership and revenue over the previous year and budget. And that was just one month.

Amtrak’s been steadily stealing the airlines’ market share since the campaign launch. In fact, Amtrak now carries the majority between DC and New York: 61% and growing.
