Walmart Holiday
Christmas advertising is always hectic and crazy for any retailer. “Wake-up Call” was concepted in less than 24 hours and approved within 12 hours. Our team was on a plane the next day. Thirteen days later, the ad shipped. I can’t believe we survived the schedule, and I am very proud of the results.

Halloween TV
We created a series of :15s for co-op candy. This project was a lot of fun because it reminded me of my childhood.
We had several challenges. First, we had to find and fit 33 costumes that looked different. Some were licensed while others were homemade. The costumes arrived one day before the shoot giving us just hours to assign them. Second, we shot over Labor Day in a neighborhood that had restricted filming hours. We knew going in that our time was very limited to shoot three spots. Add some child labor laws into the mix and you have the perfect storm.
So what happens? Spot #1 called “Fangs” goes great. Notice the tree to the left in the opening scene. It’s the famous tree from Back to the Future. Spot #2 called “Robot,” we start to film and our robot has a major meltdown. I mean a complete collapse into hysteria. Renny Maslow, our director, bribed our robot with Butterfingers through each scene. He miraculously stopped the “meltdown.”
We lost so much time due to the “meltdown” that we had two minutes to shoot the last commercial called “Just Here.” The police came and were waiting for us on the left side of the bushes to turn the cameras off. Thank goodness we had great talent. The little boy was so young, but he delivered his lines perfectly. Two minutes and Bam, in the can.
